What special precautions should I follow?
Make sure you tell your doctor if you have any other medical problems, especially:

Drug Interactions
Tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following:
- Appetite suppressants (diet pills), other or
- There have been some serious unwanted effects on the hearts of people who used two different appetite suppressants together
- Amantadine (e.g., Symmetrel) or
- Cocaine or
- Medicine for asthma or other breathing problems or
- Medicine for colds, sinus problems, or hay fever or other allergies or
- Methylphenidate (e.g., Ritalin) or
- Nabilone (e.g., Cesamet) or
- Pemoline (e.g., Cylert)
- Monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor activity
- Amp hetamines or
- Caffeine (e.g., NoDoz) or
- Chlophedianol (e.g., Ulone)

Special warnings about this medication
Phendimetrazine may cause dryness of the mouth. For temporary relief, use sugarless candy or gum, melt bits of ice in your mouth, or use a saliva substitute. However, if your mouth continues to feel d ry for more than 2 weeks, check with your medical doctor or dentist. Continuing dryness of the mouth may increase the chance of developing dental disease, including tooth decay, gum disease, and fungu s infections.

Breast-feeding—Diethylpropion and benzphetamine pass into breast milk. It is not known if other Phendimetrazine pass into breast milk. However, use of Phendimetrazine during breast-feedin is not recommended, because it may cause unwanted effects in nursing babies.
